The Hancock family have been making traditional Devon cider for over 100 years, with recipes and skills being handed down for over five generations. We are situated in a hamlet called Clapworthy Mill 3 miles out of South Molton in North Devon.
Hancocks have been producing cider at Clapworthy Mill for over 50 years, before that the family have been making cider round South Molton going back over 100 years.
Each autumn we press local apples to make our Cider and Apple Juice. Originally we used old type presses with straw but for the past 50 years have been using hydraulic operated presses.
We bottle our cider in a variety of different sizes from miniature bottles to 5 Lit bag in box and 5 gall containers of draught cider ideal for barbecues.
We also produce and bottle our own Apple Juice made from our own selection of apples.
Whether your first memory of drinking cider was in your youth drinking too much Scrumpy or as a drink of the local tipple on holiday, why not look at our products on the products page.
